I came across an interesting musing the other day...

I came across an interesting musing the other day, something which in all my years on this planet I had never considered, but which made complete sense to me.

People, who follow the Pagan path in whatever form be it Wicca, Spiritualism or any other name are often asked, whether jokingly or not, “Does that mean you worship the devil or Satan then?”

Now I’ve always considered that question as preposterous or even downright condescending and rude, but when you actually think about it, it is ridiculous.
The devil or Satan is a Christian invention so why would someone who follows a completely different path, be it Wicca or Paganism ‘worship’ an abhorrent invention of a religion they do not believe in?

That’s not to say that being a pagan or Wiccan means one does not believe in God or a higher intelligence in whatever form they choose to understand it, they just would not worship something created in the minds of people with a completely different set of beliefs.

This coupled with the well-held belief of the rule of three where everything you put out into the world comes back to you threefold why would you want to do something bad?
This realisation hit me with such a force. Why had I never seen it before?

Within the Wiccan and Pagan beliefs one is free to follow one's own path, caring for nature, the planet and oneself.
Ensuring that you keep to the Wiccan creed of “An harm yea none do as thy will”.

If everyone lived their lives in the same way the world would be a much nicer place to reside in.
